Happy Go Lucky
I am often asked if I know any good films on emotional intelligence. I watched one this weekend that I have no hesitation in recommending as an exploration in EI. Mike Leigh's Happy Go Lucky.
From beginning to end it's a delightful, uplifting and caring film, with everything in it for the EI student or observer ~ an I'm OK. You're OK. life position, expression of the inner child, responding not reacting, non-defensive behaviour, managing anger, assertion, resilience, openness ~ all the applied EI scales and attitudes are represented.
So if you want to reflect on emotionally intelligent behaviour, Poppy's self management and relationship management will give you lots of food for thought.
