Great team work
I am working with a newly formed company who have had the foresight to build in team work training and personal development to their company strategy. The results are fantastic. With this facilitation they are each growing stronger and more confident in their roles, they are communcating openly and honestly, they are pre-empting difficulties and thereby preventing them, they are establishing good inter-personal relationships - learning how to be with one another, what make them tick. Today they have established their team values - The way we do things around here and given and received constructive feedback to one another. They enjoy coming to work. I love working with them.

Acceptance
In my lifestyle each day is full of things to do and if I don't manage this well, it's easy to feel tired, overwhelmed, bothered by all the things that haven't been done and irritated by domestic chores still to be done. Today was different though, all the above applied, but there was laughter, naturally occurring fun and funny situations. There wasn't any tension. I didn't feel annoyed that the children hadn't brought in their lunch boxes. Things were running late but there was music and energy and laughter. Things were fine. The important stuff got done. We all mattered and accepted one another in our own ways. A good feeling that came about without effort. Unarranged quality time.

WOW moments
I recently had an article published in the ezine AppliedEI. Shortly afterwards I was facilitating some team development work and one of the team members referred to my article to reinforce a point among his colleagues. This was a first for me. I had never before been in earshot of having a published work referred to as a respected source of information. It felt good. My self regard was boosted and I suddenly caught up with myself, realising my development and who I have become.
What are your WOW moments - from an emotional intelligence or personal development perspective?
