Self worth

Almost 2 years ago, as a result of reflecting on my Individual Effectiveness Profile, I realised some of the key reasons why I found it difficult to lose weight. Acknowledging this, I lost 25 lbs over the following 5 months, and managed to keep the weight off ( a first for me). Since Xmas last year, I’ve put on 4 lbs, which I’ve not got around to shaking off, because it’s not too much and because I’ve got out of the habit of ‘strict’ weight watching. I had a holiday last week and there were pub lunches and cafes etc. so now I’ve reached the point of personal honesty and recognising if I don’t take some action, get the stricter habits back, it’ll be 8 lbs before I know it. I went to Weight Watchers who provide fantastic support, and, importantly for me, accountability. You can’t hide from your weight there. So I’ve got a stricter pattern again to shift the 4 lbs. And my blog is my accountability.

Personal honesty is so important in monitoring progress and achieving goals. It’s crucial for feeling good about yourself.
